The Porterhouse Steak, thick cut Prime Scottish Heritage Beef that's been specifically hand selected and Dry Aged in our Butchers Vault until reaching its Prime condition. Tender juicy and full flavoured, these steaks are Big! Being Porterhouse rather than T-Bone Steaks these are the first few steaks from the Sirloin when we cut them for steaks. In order for them to be Porterhouse cut opposed to the T-Bone, they need to have a fillet of at least 2 inches in diameter. In normal circumstances there really are only about 6-8 of these from every whole carcass!
