BLACK ROCK MOUNTAIN CHUCK STEAK

HERITAGE ANGUS & HEREFORD – HIMALAYAN SALT DRY AGED – BIG, BOLD BEEFY FLAVOUR

Our Black Rock Mountain Chuck Steaks are a proper celebration of outstanding beef. Beautifully rich, full of character and packed with the deep, intense flavour that makes our exclusive Black Rock Mountain beef range so special. If you’re someone who appreciates a steak with real substance and exceptional eating quality, this is certainly one worth discovering.

Sourced from carefully selected heritage Angus and Hereford cattle, our Black Rock Mountain beef is renowned for its wonderful natural flavour, impressive marbling and traditional beefy character. Each piece is further enhanced through our Himalayan Salt dry-ageing process, developing a greater depth of flavour and a beautifully rich, rounded taste.

Cut from the shoulder, the Chuck Steak is one of the most underrated cuts on the animal. It’s a hardworking muscle with a wonderful combination of intramuscular marbling, rich beef and natural connective tissue. This gives the steak its distinctive character, delivering an exceptionally satisfying depth of flavour that many of the more expensive cuts struggle to match.

What makes these steaks particularly special is their versatility. Cooked over hot charcoal or seared in a heavy cast-iron pan, they develop a fantastic caramelised crust and a wonderfully robust beefy flavour. Alternatively, take things low and slow, allowing the natural connective tissue to soften and transform the meat into beautifully succulent, tender beef.

THE FINER DETAILS

Information

For the barbecue enthusiast, season simply with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper before grilling over hot charcoal. If cooking as a steak, we recommend keeping it medium-rare, allowing it to rest well and slicing thinly across the grain. Expect a more substantial bite than a Ribeye or Sirloin, but an incredible depth of flavour.
