Sometimes you don’t need anything fancy to enjoy a cracking rack of barbecue ribs!

These UK Pork Spare Ribs are a straightforward, traditional European-standard cut. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top, just honest pork ribs at a very sensible price.

Now, we’ll be the first to admit that these aren’t normally the ribs we’d choose for ourselves. We tend to favour the bigger, meatier cuts like our St Louis Ribs and Baby Backs, but that doesn’t mean these don’t deserve a place on the barbecue.

They’re a leaner, less meaty option than our premium racks, but what they lack in thickness they make up for in value. And with the right preparation, they’ll deliver some seriously good eating.

Perfect for the barbecue!

These ribs don’t really lend themselves to the traditional long, slow 3-2-1 smoking method. There’s simply not the same amount of meat on the bones, so cooking them for too long risks drying them out.

Instead, give them a good coating of your favourite BBQ rub, introduce a little smoke and cook them gently until tender. They’ll take on flavour beautifully and won’t demand half your day tending the smoker.

They’re especially good when you’ve got a barbecue spread on the go, alongside sausages, burgers, chicken wings and all the other good stuff.

The bottom line? They’re not our biggest, meatiest or most luxurious ribs, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. But they’re proper pork spare ribs, they’re tasty, and at this price they represent genuinely excellent value.
