Ocean Beef Grain-Finished Ribeye Steak
Ocean Beef Ribeye is produced from premium New Zealand beef, combining traditional grass-fed farming with a carefully managed grain-finishing programme.
The cattle spend around their first 18 months grazing New Zealand pasture before being selected for grain finishing at Five Star Beef. Here they are fed a balanced ration using locally grown ingredients including wheat, barley and maize silage. The result is beef with good, consistent marbling while still retaining a proper beefy flavour.
Ribeye is where Ocean Beef really comes into its own. The natural marbling running through the steak melts during cooking, keeping the meat juicy and adding plenty of flavour. Cut thick, these are ideal for cooking over charcoal, on the BBQ or simply in a smoking-hot cast-iron pan.
A great choice if you’re looking for something more marbled than traditional grass-fed beef without going all the way to heavily marbled Wagyu.
