The 100% Scotch Beef PGI range. These Tri Tips will be sold under our Bennachie brand and will carry the Specially Selected Scotch Beef PGI status. The beef itself is generally from smaller heritage type beef cattle, grass fed and well finished then hand selected to maintain the all important fat cover we’re looking for to improve the stability of the cook while increasing the succulence of the finished product.
These are well worth a go… However as they’re grass fed so you may need to adjust your cooking method if your used to cooking the grain fed alternatives… just do it! The flavours pouring through the grass fed beef is really nice, just be sure to cook pink to retain the juiciness of this beef. Being grass fed doesn’t generally produce much in the way of marbling within this cut but treated right it won’t disappoint.
